Change Your World: A Bootcamp for motivational and inspirational speaker in the Philippines

I never dreamt of becoming an inspirational speaker. I did not know that such a profession exists. I do not remember anyone from my class who s

aid that he wanted to become an inspirational speaker when he grows up. We wanted to becoming doctors, lawyers, architect, engineers, writers, teachers, mayor, president. We were trained to speak, but not to become an inspirational speaker.

Inspirational speaking is not a course you can take in college. There is also no office available for inspirational speakers. You do not apply to become one. You just become.

Filipinos want to become inspirational speakers
Every month, I receive email messages from people who told me they wanted to become inspirational speakers. They gave me various reasons. Sam told me that he likes speaking before people. Grace and Ana wanted to explore; they have been invited to speak in schools and they liked the experience. Ruben has been training people for 17 years and he wanted to know if inspirational speaking was for him. And

there were many more who said that they want to inspire people and make a difference in the world. Each one wanted me to mentor them. They belie

ved that I could help them.

But can I really help Filipinos become inspirational speakers?
I like to help people the best way I can. But I am a hesitant teacher. I am not a guru on inspirational speaking. I am still a student; I believe I will remain so for the rest of my life. Yes, six years after I decided to leave the academe to offer my services to the world as an inspirational speaker, I still see myself as a beginner. I am on a journey and the map is not always clear. I tried to walk fast, but sometimes the road disappears. Sometimes, I ask people for directions and they pointed everywhere.

I can not tell you how to go to a place I have never been.

But I have been to many places and I can tell you about them.
I can tell you about failures after failures after failures and the sweetest success. My experiences taught me about my destiny. It was not my dream to become an inspirational speaker. It was not my dream to train school principals when I was a teacher. It was not my dream to train the leaders of various organizations, large and small. But the journey was a good teacher. So, let us walk and talk. Allow me to share with you the lessons I've learned. I also encourage you to share yours. Not just with me, but with people who care for you.

Because your story may change the world
You have a very rich experience and you can always begin where you are. I will open my heart to you and I hope you'll open yours to mine. I like asking questions, and I hope you won't mind. I believe that questions lead to answers. I do not have all the answers, but I am trying my best to come up with right questions.

How can I inspire and educate and equip and empower more Filipinos?
That was one of my questions. My answer is to become a willing teacher to those who want to become motivational and inspirational speakers in the Philippines. I know that the world will eventually call me to share my gifts and passions, but I figured that I must start first in the Philippines. So, yes in three months time I will be leading a bootcamp for speakers. I will share with you the principles and practices that will make you successful as a professional inspirational and motivational speaker.

From time to time you will get a letter from me. You will be updated about this goal to develop thousands of life changer - motivational, inspirational, and leadership speakers - in the Philippines.

But if you are interested to join us, do not wait for the next letter. Contact me. Send an email. Ask questions. I am willing to answer.

Tell me also if you are willing to help. I need the help of hundreds of people. We need to create a movement of people who like to make a world of difference in the lives of others. Here is my email: inspire@jefmenguin.com .

Thinking big is easier than what you think

“ You must do the thing which you think you can not do. ” - Eleanor Roosevelt Doing so is what thinking big all about. When I started my career as a trainer, I thought of training school teachers for I thought that was within my competencies. So I created programs for school teachers. But then nobody got my service. Until I was asked to train school principals. In the beginning I was hesitant for it was not even in my dreams to train school principals. But I did it well. And I did it better again and again after that. It was actually easier than what I thought. Do whatever you think you cannot do. When you think you cannot speak before a crowd, find your crowd and be their inspirational speaker. When you think you cannot lead people, find at least one person and help him become a better person. Then find another, then another until you are able to create your own tribe. When you think that there is way you can succeed in life, be like water.Find your way. When walls are too ...

Speak from the heart

You can speak well if your tongue can deliver the message of your heart. – John Ford You can be a fast-talking-mouth machine, but unless you speak from the heart you cannot truly become an inspirational speaker. You can learn all the techniques in 21 days, and I can show you how. But unless you listen to your heart and allow it to speak when you open your mouth, you are nothing but a robot who knows how to speak like a human being. Start where it all must begin and everything will follow. This is my simple tip for you this morning. Speak from the heart. Jef Menguin http://jefmenguin.com
